Crystals – Las Vegas
The $11 billion mega project, City Centre Las Vegas. A conglomerate of retail, hospitality, gaming and residences taking over a once vacant 76 acre lot 5 years ago. Also one of the biggest project to receive LEED certification. More details can be found here regarding initiatives: http://multivu.prnewswire.com/mnr/mgm/39529/
Crystals by Daniel Libeskind/Rockwell Group. A retail entertainment district within City Centre…
Wolfgang Pucks restaurant Brasserie Puck serving up some wonderful pasta and pizza dishes. One of the best tasting around…
Stairs connecting the main mezzanine and second floors. Its interesting to see actual stair connecting the main and mezzanine/second floor rather than maximizing revenue return by placing a retailer or two in its spot. It was pleasant and welcoming to see and there’s an actual sense of journey/travel as you navigate through the skylit space. For the impatient ones, you can do it by the typical automated way of escalator as well….who needs to walk more than they have too especially when walking several ‘Vegas blocks’ to get here was enough?
The risers are adorned with shaved/sliced minerals…or ‘sliced crystals’
Interesting water feature…water funnels out of the ground rising and falling within the tubes. Its interesting to see people trying to influence the rate of spin and height by rubbing on the tubes.
Another water feature, appears to be stalagmites rising from the ground.
Artificial trees created from metal and I assume the leafy portions are silk?
Maestros ocean club restaurant. A modern take of the tree house….
There’s a variety of architecture that falls out of the stereotypical “kitchy-ness” of what one would expect while traveling up and down the strip. Certainly not another recreation of the pyramids or King Arthur’s abode.

Wow … Will definitely need to stop by next time we’re in Vegas!
For sure, there are a lot of unique areas where you can shoot.
We’ll volunteer to be your models if you’ll have us.
