Seeking a multi-button mouse to increase your productivity? The Razer Naga may be the answer….

Have you ever desired using the same mouse clicks when switching from application to application? Or for those that are ‘digitally (finger-digits) keyboard challenged?’ Or you have sooooo many keyboard macros, you need to hunk-and-peck/look at your keyboard?  Looking for a way to streamline your workflow?  Now, a line command in Autocad vs a Sketchup line vs a Photoshop line can now be executed with a click of the same mouse button.  As most programs are going towards a more GUI with 1 inch toolbars or Ribbons, some of the  most common used commands could be 2/3 clicks away.  With daily repetitive tasks, that mouse arrow travels unnecessarily back and forth a looooong ways.  Razer introduced the Naga Mouse, originally intended to supplement the World of Warcraft game,  work reasonably well outside of the gaming environment after 2 days of use.  Originally limited to the 1-9 numbers/keypad, with the latest driver update, you can create keystroke macros for up to 5 application. With up to 17 programmable buttons, I personally configured only the buttons on the side of the mouse (12) as you want to keep the standard settings for scroll wheel, left and right, back and forward mouse buttons.

Without getting into too much technical details regarding dpi, acceleration, and tracking speed they can be found here http://www.razerzone.com.  I can pretty much access my entire screen real estate within a inch and a half radius of mouse movement.  The mouse is more towards the smaller size as my 4th and pinkie finger overhangs the mouse and rests on the mousepad.  I feel that this gives you more precision for close quarter mouse navigation.  Due to the gaming nature of the mouse, it also lights up and the backlit logo pulses on and off(you can turn it off)….should you choose to work in the dark. Its also one of the most pleasing multifunction mouse to look at given the other choices on the market.  Give it a try, you should be able to source one out at your local electronic store.  :)
